The directeur de la publication (the person responsible for published content under French law) is Thibaut Tezenas. He is also the responsible person for the purposes of equivalent media laws elsewhere (for example § 18(2) MStV in Germany).

Sub-processors
We use the following service providers to operate Babil. Each processes personal data on our behalf, under a data-processing agreement, only for the purpose listed:
- Hosting / VPS: OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, +33 9 72 10 10 07 — backend, database and recommendation service.
- Media storage: Cloudflare R2 (Cloudflare, Inc., a US company; data stored in the EU) — media you upload.
- Email: Google Workspace (United States) — account-verification and security emails. This is a US provider; see the Privacy Policy for the cross-border transfer disclosure.
- Error monitoring: Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., a US company; EU data residency) — diagnostics for crashes and errors.
Dispute resolution
If you have a dispute with us, write to the contact address above first — most issues can be resolved directly. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also be entitled to use a consumer-mediation service or to bring proceedings in your country of residence under mandatory consumer-protection law.
Liability for links
Babil lets users post external links. We do not systematically review the content of linked third-party sites. Responsibility for that content lies with its operator. If we are made aware that a link points to illegal content, we will remove the link promptly.

Content posted by users remains the property of its authors; see the Terms of Service for the licence you grant Babil to operate the service. Babil's own source code, design and trademarks are protected by the applicable intellectual-property laws. Where Babil uses open-source components, the relevant licence notices are published in the project repository.
